SHIPPING POLICY
All orders are shipped from Auckland, New Zealand. We dispatch orders every business day.
SHIPPING TIMES
Orders placed before 8pm NZDT are typically dispatched the next business day.
New Zealand Delivery Estimates:
- Auckland Metro: Next business day
- North Island: 2-3 business days
- South Island: 3-4 business days
- Rural Delivery: 5-7 business days
Australia Delivery Estimates:
- Major cities: 6-10 business days
- Regional areas: 8-14 business days
International Delivery Estimates (Economy Tracked):
- Asia (HK, JP, SG, KR, etc.): 7-15 business days
- USA / Canada / UK / Europe: 10-20 business days
- Rest of world: 14-30 business days
SHIPPING RATES
New Zealand:
- Standard NZ Shipping: $6.50 NZD
- Rural Delivery: $11.00 NZD
- We use New Zealand Post for all NZ shipments
Australia:
- Standard Tracked: A$16
- Courier: A$32
International (Economy Tracked via NZ Post, NZD):
- Rates start at NZD $22-$30 for small packages (under 100g) depending on destination
- Calculated at checkout by weight and destination
- Full rate ladder visible at checkout once an address is entered
MINIMUM INTERNATIONAL ORDER
International orders (anywhere outside New Zealand and Australia) require a minimum cart value of NZD $50. This keeps shipping costs reasonable relative to order value. Domestic NZ and Australia orders have no minimum.
COUNTRIES WE SHIP TO
We ship to approximately 225 countries worldwide. A small number of destinations are excluded due to courier restrictions, sanctions, or carrier-flagged parcel-loss issues. If your country isn't selectable at checkout and you'd like to discuss alternatives, email support@inkwell.nz.
CUSTOMS, DUTIES AND IMPORT TAXES
For international orders, the buyer is responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, GST, or other charges levied by the destination country. Inkwell NZ does not collect these at checkout. If your parcel is held by your country's customs, you may need to pay the assessed amount before it's released for delivery. Refusing a parcel or failing to clear customs does not entitle the buyer to a full refund (return shipping and customs costs are deducted).
PACKAGING
All cards are shipped in protective sleeves and toploaders to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. Orders are packaged in rigid mailers or boxes depending on order size. International parcels include a customs declaration with the product description, HS code, and country of origin as required by the destination country.
PREORDERS
If your order contains both preorder and in-stock products, we will contact you with shipping options. Preorders ship once the product is released.
TRACKING
Tracking information will be provided via email once your order has been dispatched. International parcels are tracked via NZ Post and handed off to the destination country's postal service.
SHIPPING DELAYS
During sales periods or new set releases, shipping may be slightly delayed due to order volume. International shipping may also be delayed by customs processing in the destination country, which is outside our control.
LOST OR DAMAGED PARCELS
If your parcel is lost in transit or arrives damaged, please contact us at support@inkwell.nz so we can work with the carrier to resolve the issue. For domestic NZ orders, please contact us within 7 days of the expected delivery date. For international orders, please allow up to 30 days from dispatch before reporting a parcel as lost — international transit times can vary significantly. We cannot replace or refund parcels marked as delivered by the carrier; if you believe a parcel was stolen after delivery, please contact your local postal service.
